Troubleshooting: helping you with problem cases
Complicated bike fits
From paralympians to amputees, I've worked extensively to overcome complicated fit restrictions through the logical application of scientific principles.
Vocational and academic training
I'm one of the best-trained fitters in the world, having attended dozens of bike fitting courses and conferences, and studied biomechanics at both Masters and PhD level.
A supportive and patient educator
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others to improve. The first person offering this kind of service for bike fitters, I work with your development in mind. No egos, just help and support.
How I can help
We’ve all had fit sessions where the logical intervention hasn’t worked. We’re trained to try the most obvious option first, but what happens when that doesn’t work?
By setting up a remote session, I can be present during a follow-up fit to help guide the thought process and suggest the next options for interventions. This can be a great opportunity to learn and grow, but also ensures that your client gets the positive outcome that you’ve promised.
Having fit thousands of clients across a range of abilities and riding styles, including amputees, para-cyclists/triathletes, and survivors of traumatics injuries, I’ve come across more complicated cases than most and I love the challenge of working through something new.

What does it cost and what's included?
Troubleshooting costs just £120 and includes two parts. The first is a call between just us (the fitter and me), giving us time to talk through what you saw, what you did and what happened as a result of those changes. If I see an easy solution at this stage I’ll recommend it, and if it works without requiring the second part of the troubleshooting process then I’ll refund half your money.
If there isn’t a simple solution at this stage, or the recommendation didn’t work, then we’ll progress to a session with your client in your fit studio. I’ll join the session remotely, through video conferencing or a video call, and we’ll work through the next round of potential solutions.
After the remote session, I’ll send an email with any suggested next steps that might also help. If after all of my suggested interventions the client still doesn’t see an improvement, I’ll refund 50% of the total fee.
Disclaimer: Sometimes the solution includes referring out to a medical professional. This will not result in a refund of my troubleshooting fees. As fitters we need to accept that not all things can be solved by making adjustments to the bike/equipment, but I will help you exhaust all reasonable options with those first.
